Andie Riekstina (b. 1991 Riga, Latvia) is a visual artist mostly working with photography and video; using analog, experimental and digital techniques. Andie has studied Documentary and Contemporary Photography (Ostkreuz, Neue Schule für Fotografie Berlin) and Documentary Filmmaking and Cinematography (FilmArche Berlin). Holds a BA in Intercultural Relations (LKA Riga) and MA in Creative Direction (LABASAD Barcelona).
Her personal projects revolve around identity and sense of belonging, using experimental photographic practises, installations and video.
Andie has had several solo and group exhibitions, participated in artist residencies (Revela't Barcelona, TongLau Hong Kong, Shangyuan Beijing) and given workshops on experimental analog photography techniques and digital glitching (Ephemere Tokyo).
